A Phillips a-cometh

Fine contemporary maker and last year’s VSA double gold-medalist, Jeff Phillips, is sending me a trial instrument next week. I am tremendously excited to honk out hours and hours of playing on something that litterally just got off the drying rack. I have never had a role in exploring a fine instrument’s first weeks of evolution and I am hoping to really learn a lot from the expericence. I think this occassion deserves a video upload, so, here, I commit to doing so and will get a video up of an intimate showcase of how she looks; and sounds.
