Contemporary Violin Makers Exhibition

This post originally appeared on the ‘fiddlefish.com’ blog. It’s here for archival purposes only.

New York City is home to many unique events. It’s a great place to live for that reason. I was over at my local violin maker’s studio yesterday, Stefan Bauni, when he told me: “A big modern makers exhibition is coming this very weekend to the city.”

Jeff Phillips, Kelvin Scott, Shan Jiang, Joseph Curtin, Chris Germain, and Stefan as well, are just a sample of the many who will be there with their newest creations. There is a lot to get excited for this blogger.

Since starting fiddlefish.com, my perspective has evolved radically. Equally exciting to play on the antiques is finding bright new talents who are on leading the way in perfecting the craft of violin making.

The exhibition is running from Oct. 1st - Oct. 3rd, 2011.
